Strength progress without burnout: the minimum effective dose
🏋️ More is not always better when it comes to strength training. Progress comes from consistency and recovery, not constant intensity.
🧪 The minimum effective dose is the smallest amount of training needed to stimulate adaptation. For many people, this means two to three well structured strength sessions per week rather than daily workouts that lead to fatigue and stalled progress.
Burnout often shows up as declining motivation, nagging aches, poor sleep, or feeling weaker instead of stronger.
🔧 Tip: Focus on compound movements, track basic progress, and leave a little in the tank most sessions. Recovery is part of training, not a break from it.
