• After working as an advertising executive at Ogilvy Guatemala and at Siglo XXI Newspaper, Alexia Bauer moved to Chicago in 2007 to study yoga. For the past 18 years she has taught yoga privately and in group settings, led corporate classes, and guided local and international retreats. She holds Yoga Alliance YACEP and ERYT-500 certifications, co-directs the Ashtanga program at Yogaview Chicago, and runs her own yoga school and teacher training curriculum, where she trains teachers and helps students develop sustainable practices for physical and mental wellbeing.

Building on this foundation, Alexia expanded her work into lifestyle and metabolic health. She is a Functional Nutritionist and Wellness Practitioner trained through the College of Functional Wellness in the UK, and a “Fast Like a Girl” certified coach. In 2023 she founded Vagal, a wellness platform focused on helping individuals improve metabolic health through nutrition, fasting strategies, movement, sleep, and nervous system regulation.

Through Vagal, Alexia works with clients both individually and in group programs such as her gut reset protocols. A central focus of her work is helping women navigate perimenopause and post-menopause, supporting them in rebuilding body literacy, understanding hormonal changes, and developing sustainable habits that support long-term health, energy, and resilience.
